Professor Bendell's lecture, held at Keswick's Theatre By The Lake, drew from nearly 20 years' experience of working in the field of sustainable development and contained insights from his new book, HealingCapitalism.
In a wide-ranging and challenging talk, he considered issues of personal and corporate responsibility, discussed his groundbreaking work on complementary currencies like bitcoin and explained his philosophy on education, learning and academic life.
The lecture, held in association with the Keswick Fair World Alliance and sponsored by Impact International and Cumberland Building Society, was followed by a VIP reception in the theatre's Circle Gallery.
