New initiative for living well, and helpfully, in fracturing societies

Emeritus Professor with the University, and founder of the Initiative of Leadership and Sustainability, back in 2013, Dr. Jem Bendell has launched a new initiative to help people live well during a 'metacrisis'. That term describes the intersecting crises which are breaking down many aspects of modern life.

"I saw the need for informal lifelong learning on how to have a life worth living in these turbulent times. Now that I work as an independent scholar, the Metacrisis Initiative is one way I can help people come to terms with what is happening." - Professor Jem Bendell

Beginning in 2025, with monthly salons, the initiative provides participants with the opportunity to learn about and discuss the trends beneath the headlines, and the range of responses to those trends which aren’t yet mainstream. With peer mentoring groups, participants benefit from advice and fellowship as they integrate their awareness of metacrisis, and even collapse, into their professional and personal lives.
